Terms of Use
Last updated: 10 June 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Globiqo apps, website, and organiser tools. By using Globiqo you agree to them. Please read them, together with our Privacy Policy, before you buy a ticket or publish an event.
This page explains our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using Globiqo you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older, or using Globiqo with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
2. What Globiqo is, and is not
Globiqo is a ticketing and discovery platform. We provide the technology to find, sell, and manage tickets to live events. We are not the organiser of the events sold through Globiqo, and we do not run those events.
The organiser is responsible for the event itself: whether it happens, when and where, what it is like, and honouring what they advertised. If an event is cancelled, changed, or not as described, that is a matter between you and the organiser, subject to the refund terms below and to your rights under local law.
Where Globiqo offers resale, transfer, waitlist, or community features, we provide them as tools. The underlying ticket contract is still with the organiser.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us at hello@globiqo.app if you think someone else has accessed your account. You may delete your account at any time from inside the app.
4. Buying tickets, prices, and fees
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Where the organiser has chosen for the buyer to cover Globiqo's service fee, that fee is shown and included in your total. The service fee is Globiqo's own fee for running the sale.
Payments are processed by Paystack. You can pay by card, bank transfer, or mobile money where it is available in your market. We support the Nigerian Naira, the Ghanaian Cedi, the Kenyan Shilling, the South African Rand, and the West African CFA Franc.
5. Refunds
If an organiser cancels an event, you are refunded the full ticket price. Globiqo's service fee is non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, because it pays for the service already provided in selling you the ticket.
If an organiser materially changes an event, such as a new date or venue, and you cannot attend, you may request a refund of the ticket price. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable unless the organiser's own policy or your local consumer law gives you a further right.
Refunds are returned through Paystack to your original payment method and may take five to seven business days to appear.
6. Transfers, resale, and waitlists
Where an event allows it, you can transfer a ticket to someone else, or list it for resale inside Globiqo, up to any cap the organiser or the law sets. Reselling a ticket outside Globiqo, or above a permitted cap, is not allowed. The ticket contract stays with the organiser.
7. Organisers and white-label
If you are an organiser, you are responsible for your events, for the accuracy of what you advertise, for honouring the tickets you sell, and for complying with the law that applies to your event. You must complete identity verification before you can be paid.
Globiqo charges a platform fee and settles your takings to your bank through Paystack. If your subscription lapses or is downgraded, tickets your buyers have already been issued stay valid. Your buyers did nothing wrong and do not lose what they paid for.
8. Things you may not do
You agree not to:
- Buy or sell tickets fraudulently, or with a payment method that is not yours.
- Copy, forge, alter, or duplicate a ticket or its QR code, or help anyone do so.
- Use a ticket that has already been used, or try to enter more than once on a single admission.
- Resell tickets outside Globiqo's resale feature, or above any cap.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data, or use bots to buy tickets.
- Impersonate an organiser, another user, or Globiqo.
- Interfere with the platform's security, or reach data that is not yours.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and tickets obtained through fraud may be cancelled. Tickets bought legitimately stay valid.
9. Intellectual property
Globiqo, its logo, and the software behind it belong to us. Event names, artwork, and content belong to the organisers who post them. You may not copy or reuse any of it beyond what the app allows for normal use.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Globiqo's liability to you is limited, and we are not liable for the acts of organisers or for the events themselves. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that the law does not permit us to exclude, including your mandatory rights under local consumer law.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Globiqo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. Where you hold valid tickets, we will not cancel them because of an unrelated account issue.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the Globiqo operating entity is registered, and disputes are subject to its courts, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
