Delete your account
Last updated: 10 June 2026
You can delete your Globiqo account at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and what we have to keep. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
This page explains our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice.
1. Delete from inside the app
The quickest way to delete your account is from inside the Globiqo app:
- Open the Globiqo app and sign in.
- Go to your Profile, then open Privacy and safety.
- Under Data, tap Delete my account.
- Confirm on the sheet that appears.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo, and there is no waiting period. Once you confirm, your account is gone and you are signed out.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app installed, you can ask us to delete your account instead. Email hello@globiqo.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
We may ask you to confirm a detail that proves the account is yours before we act, so that nobody else can request the deletion of your account. We will complete a valid request within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
3. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile: your name, email, phone number, display name, and photo.
- Your sign-in and authentication details.
- Your tickets, saved events, and personal activity such as reviews, referrals, and messages.
- Your marketing and notification preferences.
- For organisers, your storefront profile and the verification documents we are no longer required to keep.
Card and payment details are never stored by Globiqo in the first place. They are handled entirely by Paystack, our payment processor.
4. What we keep, and why
A small amount of data has to be kept even after your account is deleted, so that we can meet our legal duties. Where we keep it, we hold it in a limited form and no longer link it to a live account.
- Order and payment records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is typically several years.
- Records we are legally obliged to retain for fraud prevention or identity verification, for no longer than the law requires.
- Tickets you sold or transferred to other people stay valid for them. Deleting your account does not cancel a ticket that is now in someone else's wallet.
You can read the full detail in our Privacy Policy, under "How long we keep it".
5. Download your data first
Deletion cannot be reversed, so if you want a copy of your events, tickets, and profile, get it before you delete. In the app, go to Profile, then Privacy and safety, then under Data tap Download my data.
6. Contact us
Any question about deleting your account, or about your data, can be sent to hello@globiqo.app.
